Frequently Asked Questions

General Salon Questions

What services do you specialize in?

Although we provide a broad range of services that qualify us as a full-service salon, there are certainly some that we love a little more:

-Brunettes
-Highlights
-Updos
-Perms

What is included with your services?

At L&L Salon, we are committed to full transparency in our pricing. That’s why we offer most of our services as packages and adhere to a strict no-tipping policy. Any services that are not part of a package are clearly labeled and disclosed prior to the start of your service.

Do you guarantee your services?

At L&L Salon, we are proud of the work we do. This is why we guarantee your satisfaction. Simply contact us within 4 days of your appointment and we can discuss whether you need to come back in. Please note, absolutely no refunds will be given after 4 days and/or without you giving us the opportunity to make any necessary adjustments.

Do you require deposits for appointments?

Yes. To secure your appointment, a deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit amount may vary, up to 50% of the total service cost. Please note that deposits become non-refundable if the appointment is within 48 hours. Should your deposit not be received within this 48-hour timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment without prior notification.

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel and it’s more than 48 hours from your appointment time, you may do so by contacting us, or you can cancel or reschedule online.

If you need to cancel and your appointment is less than 48 hours away, you must contact us. You will not be a ble to cancel or reschedule online.

Should I wash my hair before my appointment?

Yes, the notion that dirty hair is preferable for styling is a myth. We mandate that all clients and staff adhere to proper hygiene protocols, which include washing their hair within the last few days. Should anyone arrive with hygiene standards that could pose a risk to our stylists or other clients, they will be asked to reschedule, and their deposit will not be returned.

What should I wear for my appointment?

For any chemical service appointments, we strongly advise wearing attire that you wouldn’t be concerned about damaging. Despite our careful measures to prevent chemical spills on your clothing, accidents can occur. Please note that we cannot be held liable for any clothing damage and will not offer cleaning services or compensation.

When coming in for an updo, it’s best to wear a button-down shirt or one with a very wide neck to avoid disrupting your hairstyle during clothing changes.

Can I bring my children?

Well-behaved children are always welcome to sit and wait with you during your service.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Punctuality is important to us. We recognize that delays can occur, so we provide a 15-minute grace period if you’re running late. However, arriving early can be equally disruptive, as it may require us to shorten our breaks or cleaning periods.

Hair Color Questions

What is a corrective color?

Any service involving two or more detailed processes is considered corrective color. Corrective color treatments may require multiple sessions to ensure the integrity of your hair remains our top priority. Due to the specialized nature of corrective color, the cost is $100 per hour and is not available as part of any package.

How often should I be getting my roots touched up?

This is entirely up to you and how comfortable you are with your grow out. Generally, we recommend every 4-8 weeks.
